What are the instructions for completing a draw? 1. Enter the name of your competition (e.g. 'John Lennon Trophy') without the enclosing quotation marks.
2. Enter the dates by which each round should be completed (in format dd/mm/yy) in the dates window, using the first line for the completion date of the first round, second line for the second round, and so on. If you provide fewer dates in this window than there are rounds in the competition, the later rounds will not be given a 'complete by' date. If you provide more dates than there are rounds, the later dates provided will be ignored.
3. The list of entrants for the draw should be entered in the names window, starting with the first name in the first row, the second name in the second row etc and there must be no gaps between entries in the list. The entries in the list can be in any order.
4. The draw will be created, when the submit button is clicked, and will result in a new draw in a new 'Output Sheet'. If the system already contains a draw of this name, you will be prompted to change the name.
5. The program has an inbuilt algorithm so that the columns in 'Output Sheet' are wide enough to accommodate all the names of the entries, the width of each column in the draw grid is set equal to the width that the user has set for column A in the 'Input Sheet' i.e. the longest name. For large numbers of entries you may have to abbreviate names to ensure that you get the output on a minimal number of pages to suit your notice board.
